Konark Sun Temple
Konark Sun Temple is famous 13th Century monumental edifice of India, located at Konark, in Odisha State, India, which is a UNESCO world heritage site, besides being a member of the list of seven wonders reckoned both by NDTV and Times of India.
Konark temple’s structure depicts the gigantic Chariot of Sun, with elaborately sculptured stone wheels, walls and pillars, part of them are in ruined condition today. This stone temple was supposedly constructed by King Narasimhadeva I of Eastern Ganga Dynasty and the period is around 1250AD.
